Another major success for Vitamina Sailing, the team in the regatta for the Yacht Club Repubblica Marinara di Pisa, with the support of the Cetilar® brand, which won the Nations Trophy, the last appointment in the Nations League 2021, yesterday in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The penultimate international appointment of the season with the Club Swan 36 – the Nautor’s Swan monotype –, the Nations Trophy was battled out in the Balearic Islands by a total of 29 boats in three classes with top-level crews, made even more thrilling by the presence of Olympic sailors and winners of the America’s Cup. A very high technical level, in which the Vitamina Cetilar crew – captained by Andrea Lacorte at the helm with tactician Gabriele Benussi and Alberto Bolzan on the sails – stood out from the first to the last day, closing the eight regattas fought in three days with an impeccable score: two wins, four second, one third and one sixth place.

With these results, Vitamina Cetilar came in first place in the Nations Trophy ranking with a total of 19 points, five less than Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio’s GSpot and nine less than Edoardo Ferragamo’s Thirtysix.

And in the final ranking of the Nations League, on the other hand, Vitamina Cetilar closed the circuit in second place, behind Spot and ahead of Far Star.

“Following the recent successes on Lake Garda with the M32 catamaran comes another important win: 2021 is bringing some well-earned satisfaction, considering the commitment and professionalism of Vitamina Sailing in managing these two competition sailing programmes,” explains Andrea Lacorte, captain of the Club Swan 36 Vitamina Cetilar. “The Nations Trophy regattas were tough but great races, because there’s a really high level in our class and all it takes is a tiny mistake to drop behind. Beating an opponent like GSpot, a team we respect and hold in high esteem, is a two-fold satisfaction that confirms our performance even more. We compliment them on their well-deserved success in the Nations League.”

On board the Vitamina Cetilar, in addition to Lacorte, Benussi and Bolzan, were Team Manager Matteo De Luca, Alessandro Frizzarin, Giovanni Bucarelli and Diego Battisti.

Now that this Nations League is over, Vitamina Cetilar is preparing for the last appointment in this busy but winning competition season, the Swan One Design Worlds, the class World Championship to be held in St. Tropez, France, from 13 to 17 October.
