Vitamina Sailing comes second on Lake Garda

At the weekend, Lake Garda hosted the first competition of 2022 for Vitamina Sailing, the team at the regatta for the Yacht Club Repubblica Marinara di Pisa, with the support of Cetilar, this year busy on two circuits, for the TF35 foil catamarans and the M32s.

And it was precisely the M32s that, from Friday to Sunday, at Riva del Garda, launched the first stage of the European Series 2022, the European circuit that was won last year by one of the two Vitamina Sailing boats, led by the helmsman Andrea Lacorte and the star crew on these three days of racing in Garda.

Vitamina Rapida Cetilar, helmed by Lacorte with the Team Manager on board, Matteo De Luca, the Australian Olympic gold medallist Will Ryan and the New Zealanders Adam Minoprio and Stewart Dodson, ended the stage in second place, behind the Inga from Sweden crew and ahead of the Dutch Leeloo crew.

A total of fifteen regattas took place in the three days, with five partial victories for the Italian boat, which paid the price of a rather difficult start on the first day before gaining rhythm to earn a stable place in the front.

The team’s second boat, the Vitamina Veloce Cetilar with helmsman Marco Radman and an all-Italian crew of Diego Battisti, Leonardo Chiarugi, Giovanni Bucarelli and Matteo Ferraglia, came in fifth place.

The next appointment for the M32 catamarans is the second leg of the circuit, to be held in the Netherlands from 10 to 12 June.

But before that the Vitamina Sailing will be busy on Lake Geneva, at Nyon, for the Realstone Cup, the opening leg of the TF35 Trophy circuit devoted to TF35 foil catamarans: the appointment is from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 May, the very first regatta for the long-awaited Vitamina Volante Cetilar, as usual with Andrea Lacorte at the helm.
